The benefit concert was presented by Mr. John Anthony (Director) and Ms. Jeanine Ecklund (Choreographer), and included song and dance numbers from a Mary Poppins Medley featuring soloist Sheila Walsh, A Tribute to the Roaring 20's; A Candle Lighting Ceremony to remember those whose lives were taken by ALS with names read by Zen Ho Sang, Jeremy Sondergren and Brianna Waite; selections performed by the Central Islip High School Concert Choir featuring soloist Stephan Mills; A Tribute to Lou Gehrig featuring guest artist Alyssa Kelly; Keep Your Eyes on the Prize featuring the Central Islip Choir Boys with soloists Nathaniel McIntyre and Coree Antrobus; and the Central Islip High School Concert Choir performing The Climb, a finale featuring soloists Sam Gonzalez, Nathalie Rodriguez and Dorian Jimenez. Special remarks were delivered by Mr. Christopher Pendergast, President of ALS Ride for Life and Mr. Richard Iannuzzi, 2nd Vice Chairman of ALS Ride for Life. The audience viewed a moving overhead visual/narrative presentation that navigated them through Mr. Pendergast's plight in his effort to find a cure for ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease).
