Town officials, joined by Central Islip School District Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Sharon Dungee, Central Islip High School Principal Brett MacMonigle, Reed Middle School Assistant Principal Jason Nemes and teachers Debbie Cavanagh and Kim Harris recognized the students' artistic talents. Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, together with Councilmen John Cochrane, Jr. and Tom Cilmi, lauded the students for their original creations and encouraged them to pursue their goals as they continue their school careers. Also on hand to congratulate the students were Joan Crescitelli, program director for the Central Islip Civic Council and Lynda Moran, executive director of the Islip Arts Council.
