Central Islip High School seniors officially became alumni of the Class of 2021 as they celebrated their graduation on June 24th. The Wind Ensemble then accompanied seniors Zen Ho Sang and Jeremy Sodergren for a majestic version of the National Anthem. Members of the Central Islip High School Concert Choir, directed by Mr. John Anthony and accompanied by Mr. George McKenzie, sang a musical interlude, "Movin' On". Central Islip High School Principal Timothy Lynam and Assistant Principals Olivia Da Silva, Michael Blum and James Crawford, faculty and staff, were joined by Board of Education President Norman A. Wagner, School Board Vice President Michele Harriott, and School Board Members Fred Philips, Daniel Devine, Glenn C. Mitchell, and Jim Musumeci, and Keynote Speaker and special guest, Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy D. Sini, who wished the students well on their future endeavors. Valedictorian Zen Ho Sang and Salutatorian Joe Martinez shared fond high school memories in their farewell messages to their colleagues. Superintendent of Schools Sharon A. Dungee delivered her inaugural address to her first graduating class as Central Islip School District's Superintendent, offering compelling words of advice and wisdom to the seniors. The Board of Education, Administration, Faculty, Staff, and the Central Islip Community congratulate the Class of 2021 as they begin a new chapter along their journey to exploring new horizons and pursuing their goals and aspirations!
