Reed Middle School teachers, Ms. Ivette Rios, Ms. Diana Massaro and Mr. Michael Doscher, have been carefully navigating students through this enriching life lesson, learning experience. With the mission of the Reed Family Garden being to teach students to grow local agriculture food and to learn about food security, every student volunteer is receiving seedlings to create their own gardens at home. Ms. Rios noted that the Reed Family Garden is a year-round project, where students are now embarking upon growing their winter crop of lettuce, onions, carrots, garlic and ab array of tasty herbs.
