Students enrolled in Ms. Amy Harrington's Trial Procedure course at Central Islip High School are receiving intense and focused lessons in law. The Trial Procedure course is an advanced class at CIHS where students use their advocacy and litigation skills to argue civil and criminal cases. The student attorneys are responsible for opening statements, direct examination of witnesses and cross examination of witnesses, as well as objections and closing arguments. Student witnesses also memorize affidavits and fact patterns for the case presentations.
